They are planning to release two apps - iPwner - tool to make your iPhone/iTouch “pwned”. You will have to use this tool just once unless you restore, and - IPSW Builder - by using this tool you will be able to modify the .ipsw filesystem, and install custom/modified/unlcoked firmwares via iTunes
